HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Plymouth North softball wins Patriot League title
The Plymouth North High softball team clinched the Patriot League Keenan Division title with an 11-3 win over Hingham on Monday.
Bella Piekarski and Marissa Durette each went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI for the Blue Eagles (16-1).
Maggie Ladd (2-for-4, 2 RBI), Meg Banzi (1-for-3, RBI), Caroline Collins (2-for-4) and Grace Beatty (1-for-3, RBI) also starred at the plate, and Collins earned the victory in the circle.

Bishop Feehan 6, Archbishop Williams 2: The Bishops lost to the top-ranked team in Division 1.
Silver Lake 13, Marshfield 1: Maddy Bryan went 3-for-3 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI as the Lakers (17-2) presented coach Tony Pina with his 200th career win. Sam Waters, Nina O’Neil and Delaney Moquin had multiple hits, and winning pitcher Caroline Peterson struck out 7.
Milton 16, Brookline 3: The Wildcats won the Bay State Conference game.

Abington 10, Norton 4: Shannon Varvitsiotis stuck out 8 and had 3 RBI for the Green Wave (14-3). Keira Howley (3 hits, 4 RBI) and Viv Bonner (triple, 3 RBI) led the offense.
Stoughton 17, Sharon 1 (5 inn.): Kerry Driscoll pitched well to earn the win and received strong defense from Alyssa Edwards and Madison Hinds for the Black Knights (10-9). Camryn Whitman led the offense with 3 hits and an RBI.
North Attleboro 5, Oliver Ames 1: Maddie Homer scored OA's lone run after singling in the first inning.
Whitman-Hanson 17, Duxbury 3: After falling behind 3-0, the Panthers rallied to score 17 runs to win their regular-season finale. Taryn Leonard belted her seventh home run of the season (a grand slam) and added a pair of doubles.
Cohasset/Hull 17, Mashpee 5: The Skippers won a South Shore League game.
Brockton 11, Dartmouth 7: The Boxers (8-8) won at home.
BASEBALL
Diman 7, West Bridgewater 1: The Wildcats lost the Mayflower League game.
Hanover 6, Quincy 0: The Presidents (11-9) had their six-game win streak snapped. For Hanover (9-8), captain Carter Zielinkski had 2 hits, including a bases-clearing triple. Wes Bryan and Johnny McDonald also had 2 hits. Gabe Knudsen earned his fourth win of the season as he allowed 2 hits and fanned 8.

Hingham 8, Plymouth North 6: Aidan Devlin (2-for-3, 3 RBI) drove in the winning run in a 5-run uprising in the sixth as the Harbormen (11-7) rallied to beat the Blue Eagles (11-9). Bobby Falvey was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, and Danny Kent earned the save. Kyle Swett had a big RBI double.

BC High 2, Chelmsford 0: Adam Regan (Braintree) drove in both runs, and Ryan Kane (Bridgewater) and Gavin Donohue combined on a 1-hitter for the visiting Eagles (14-5).
Oliver Ames 11, North Attleboro 10: Ian Kelly drew a bases-loaded walk-off walk to lift the Tigers. Jack Muir went 4-for-5 with a double, triple and 5 RBI. Nathaniel Lewis added 3 hits and 3 runs.
Milton 5, Brookline 3: Charlie Walker (7-1) tossed 6 innings while striking out 9 and allowing just 2 hits and 1 run for the Wildcats (17-2). Shea Donovan went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Jack Finnegan went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Bridgewater-Raynham 6, New Bedford 0: James Nichols tossed 6 innings of shutout ball with just 2 hits and 7 strikeouts. That's the Trojans' eighth shutout of the season. Nolan DeAndrade had 2 hits and an RBI while Cam Morrison had 2 doubles and an RBI.
Archbishop Williams 2, Bishop Feehan 1: Matt Kowalski (Weymouth) allowed no earned runs over 5 innings with 8 strikeouts, and Chris Swirbalus (Hingham) earned the win with 2 innings of shutout relief as Williams (7-13) concluded its regular season. Joe Schwartz (Braintree) had the game-winning sacrifice fly, and Bryan Cahill (Weymouth) drove in the other run.
Duxbury 12, Whitman-Hanson 10: Sophomore Cam Beltramini hit his first home run in the loss for the Panthers (8-10). Ryan Flaherty hit a home run for the Dragons while Chris Walsh recorded the save.
Scituate 3, Plymouth South 1: Dylan McDonald tossed a complete-game gem for the Sailors (12-6, 11-4 Patriot League). Courtland Hare had a big 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. Jordan Barthel (2-for-3, triple, RBI), Michael Sheskey (2-for-3, run), Neil Sullivan (1-for-3, run) and Johnny Kinsley (1-for-2, double) also starred for Scituate. Naythan Ruehs had 3 hits in the loss for the Panthers.
Foxboro 6, Canton 3: The Bulldogs (9-11) concluded their regular season with a loss. Matt Quan pitched 2 shutout innings while Andrew Butler went 2-for-3 (2 runs, walk, 3 stolen bases.
Mashpee 6, Rockland 5: Ian White had 2 doubles and scored 3 runs in the loss.
Holbrook 12, Norfolk Aggie 2 (5 inn.): On Senior Day, junior Ethan Carey-Prendable had 3 hits and scored 3 runs. He also threw a 3-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Freshman Angel Calderone had 2 hits and scored 3 runs.
Silver Lake 8, Marshfield 2: The Lakers posted a Patriot League win.
Carver 7, Abington 4: The Crusaders posted a South Shore League home win over the Green Wave.
Abington 8, Charlestown 0: On Sunday, Henry Rogers, John Sellon and Steve Madden combined for the shutout for the Green Wave (12-4). Ed Reilly led the offense with an RBI double and a run scored.
Southeastern splits doubleheader on Sunday: The Hawks dropped the first game to Bristol-Plymouth, 10-0, but rebounded for a 5-0 win. Jared Graca threw a 1-hitter with 8 strikeouts in the win. Nolan Sturdevant had a 2-run triple late.
BOYS LACROSSE
Franklin 25, Canton 5: The Bulldogs dropped the Hockomock League game.
Blue Hills 12, Southeastern 2: Colton Pentecost and Charlie Fiske scored goals for the Hawks in the loss.

Hingham 13, Scituate 7: Connor Hartman had 3 goals while Owen Hoffman added 2 for the Harbormen.
Silver Lake 7, Plymouth South 3: McKale Cargill stopped 11 shots while Chris Broderick recorded a hat trick.
Rockland 20, East Bridgewater 10: Justin Cronin (6 goals, 4 assists) and Lucas Leander (5 goals, 7 assists) had big days for the Bulldogs. Jake Higgins posted in a hat trick.
Bridgewater-Raynham 17, Barnstable 5: Seniors Christian Thornton (6 goals), Evan Costa (4 goals, 2 assists), Ryan Breheny (2 goals, 2 assists) and Zach Marvel (goal, 3 assists) led the way for B-R (11-4) on Senior Night. Ryan McInnis and Brendan Rosher controlled the face-off X, and defenseman Shaun Daly added a goal.

Bishop Guertin 12, Notre Dame Academy 9: The Cougars lost on Senior Night.
