HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Rockland boys hockey celebrates Senior Night in style

The Rockland High boys hockey team celebrated Senior Night in style with a 5-4 win over Bourne on Saturday.

Shane Kimball led the way with a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs (10-9-1). Joey Salamone (two goals), Ben Romer (goal, assist) and Sean Geary (two assists) all had two-point games. Cooper Larouco scored the other Rockland goal.

Next up for the Bulldogs is the Division 4 state tournament.

Tabor Academy 6, Thayer Academy 2: The Tigers lost the ISL game.

Hingham 5, Bishop Feehan 1: The Harbormen won in the opening round of Buddy Ferreira Classic. Hingham will play Arlington Catholic in the semifinals on Sunday.

Silver Lake 7, Bridgewater-Raynham 2: Aidan Dunphy had three goals and a pair of assists in the win. That five-point day pushed his career point total over 100.

BC High 8, Falmouth 3: The Eagles won in the opening round of the Buddy Ferreira Classic. BC High will play Duxbury in the semifinals on Sunday.

Oliver Ames 3, Plymouth South 2: Dan Paul, Jack Perron and Matt Lawson scored goals in the win for the Tigers.

Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth 8, Tri-County 2: Dalton Ghelfi led the way with two goals as the Hawks (10-6-1) clinched a tournament for the 10th consecutive time. Thomas Leger, Nick Sturdevant, Bobby Manning, Sean Kelly, Luke Martineau and Cole Tammaro all scored one goal.

Cohasset/Hull 2, Pembroke 1: Wade Puzella and Jackson Stonehouse scored in the win.

Milton 6, Norwood 3: Sean McDougall scored two goals and added an assist while Declan Walsh handed out three assists to go with a goal.

Middleboro 4, Stoughton/Brockton 3: Levon Mulready netted the overtime winner while Wyatt Goyette (goal, two assists), Sam Steinman (two goals, assist) and Jake Jordan (three assists) had three-point games for the Sachems. Anthony DeSousa, Charlie Caputo and Sean Farley scored in the loss.

Duxbury 3, Archbishop Williams 1: Sam Mazanec made 25 saves as the Dragons advance to the semifinals of the Buddy Ferreira Classic. Duxbury will play BC High on Sunday. Reilly Murray, Connor O’Connell and Aiden Harrington each scored one goal. Archies will play Falmouth in a consolation game.

North Quincy 5, Quincy 4: The Raiders defeated the Presidents in the battle for Quincy bragging rights.

St. John Paul II 9, Blue Hills 3: The Warriors dropped the non-league game.

Braintree 3, Natick 0: The Wamps won the Bay State Conference game as Amir Cullinane recorded his first career shutout. Nick Fasano had a goal and an assist. Anthony Cappello and Joe Dimartino each chipped in a goal.

Canton 2, Franklin 1 (OT): Griffin Hughes netted the overtime winner for the Bulldogs.

Marshfield 5, Whitman-Hanson 1: The Rams won the Patriot League game behind two-goal games from Jake Hemingway and Jack Doherty. Nate Scaccia scored in the loss.

Plymouth North 4, Barnstable 3 (OT): Josh Bates netted an overtime winner for Plymouth North.

West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater 7, South Shore Tech 3: Anthony Patete scored two goals and handed out four assists in the win. Brett Peterson (two assists) and Matt Martineau (assist) both scored two goals.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Plymouth North/Plymouth South 1, Falmouth 1 (OT): Maeve Campbell scored the lone goal in the tie for Plymouth.

Martha's Vineyard 7, Scituate 3: Maggie Lovering scored two goals for the Sailors.

Boston Latin 2, Latin Academy/Fontbonne Academy 0: Latin Academy/Fontbonne falls to 8-11-1.

West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater 2, Nantucket 1: Kiera Sweeney and Abby Gropman (assist) scored in the win and Grace Ogilvie had a pair of assists. Fallon Smith also played well.

King Philip 4, Braintree 3: The Wamps dropped the non-league game.

Duxbury 1, Sandwich 0: Megan Carney scored the lone goal for the Dragons.

Hingham 4, Pembroke 2: The Harborwomen rallied for a 2-0 deficit behind goals from Caroline Doherty, Abigail Kennedy and Addy Garrity (two).

Bishop Fenwick 4, Weymouth 1: The Wildcats lost the non-league game.

Archbishop Williams 5, Needham 1: Maggie Lynch and Shea Nolan both had two goals in the win. Aliya Greenwood scored the other goal.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Carver 58, Nantucket 16: Sarah Stairs (17 points) and Ashleigh Johnson (15) starred for the Crusaders.

Thayer Academy 65, Brooks 50: Emma Dahl scored her 1,000th career point in the win.

Oliver Ames 58, Dartmouth 51: Avery Gamble scored 25 points to lead the Tigers. Sisters Kamryn (10 points) and Kaydance Derba (7 points, 8 rebounds) also played well.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Brooks 67, Thayer Academy 47: The Tigers dropped the ISL game.

SWIMMING

Division 1 state championship: Bridgewater-Raynham senior captain Jessie McNeil finisher her career by placing second in the 200 IM and 100 breast stroke. She finished her career with a 59-1 dual-meet record.
