High school senior celebrates birthday and graduation with a surprise from airman sister

Standing on the gymnasium floor, unsuspecting senior McKenzy Hogan is about to get a fabulous surprise. It's her birthday, and as she's graduating from Thornapple Kellogg High School in the small town of Middleville, Michigan, she's being serenaded by the whole class with an enthusiastic rendition of "Happy Birthday." But that's just the beginning.

As the song finishes, Principal Tony Petersen walks over to a beaming McKenzy and tells her one more birthday surprise is on the way. He points to the other side of the gym, and McKenzy quickly realizes what he's showing her. Immediately, she bolts across the floor.

In the gym to meet her with open arms is her sister, Air Force airman Abigail Bremer, who McKenzy thought was unable to attend the graduation. But she's made it after all.

The sisters' joyful reunion was met with loud applause from all those in attendance as McKenzy and Abigail hugged each other tightly, happy to be celebrating together.
