High school sports scores for Jan. 3-7 across the Treasure Coast

Tuesday's scores

Boys Basketball

John Carroll Catholic 76, Port St. Lucie 73 (OT): Aidan Singleton scored 19 points and added six assists and Tony Colebrook added 18 points including the game-tying 3-point play to send the game into overtime where the Rams prevailed on the road.

Colebrook converted a layup with 11.1 seconds to go and made the free throw to complete an 11-point deficit to begin the fourth quarter for John Carroll.

In overtime, Pat Silas knocked in a jumper and a 3-pointer to give the Rams (10-2) a 72-67 lead.

With Port St. Lucie trailing 72-69, Ryan Rodriguez tied the game with a minute remaining with a 3-pointer but John Carroll's Caden Johnson hit a pair of free throws to give the Rams a 74-72 lead with 23.5 seconds to go.

Rodriguez had an opportunity to tie the game at the foul line with 13.6 seconds to go but went 1-for-2 and Collin Jefferson would make two free throws to give John Carroll a 76-73 lead and a final 3-point heave from Rodriguez was short.

Joaquin Ruiz scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Jefferson added 10 points and Silas scored nine points for John Carroll.

Rodriguez scored a game-high 27 points, Mahkari Chambliss added 20 points and five assists and TJ Schuck went for a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds in the loss for the Jaguars (5-9).

Centennial 81, Jensen Beach 48: Joesph Lezeau II scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Zachary Brown also scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Eagles (10-3) to victory. Owen Jean added eight points and seven rebounds and Jaydon Washington and Micah Davis each chipped in seven points for Centennial.

Phillip Clark scored 12 points in the loss for the Falcons.

Boys Soccer

St. Edward's 4, Lincoln Park Academy 3: Brogan Buck scored two goals and added an assist to lead the way for the Pirates (9-1-1). Patricio Argote and Jah Jeune each added a goal and an assist, William Kourakis picked up an assist and Alex Lee made 15 saves for St. Edward’s.

Kaden Barela netted a hat trick for all three of the Greyhound’s goals for the match.

Girls Soccer

South Fork 5, Centennial 1: Savannah Tatum netted two goals and assisted on another to lead the Bulldogs (8-3) in the win. Juanita Neva also scored two goals, Makena Meyer added a goal and an assist and Hailey Resetar made six saves in goal for South Fork.

Sammiah Dorelus scored the lone goal of the match for the Eagles.

Ryan Rodriguez scored a game-high 21 points in the loss for the Jaguars (5-10).

Palm Beach Gardens 66, Vero Beach 61: Jaylen Shelly and Derrick Davey each scored 14 points and Michael Collier added 11 points in the loss for Vero (4-11).

Girls Basketball

Jensen Beach 65, Rockledge 47: Elizabeth Fitzwater scored 26 points to lead the way for the Falcons (10-4). Lauren Cioffi added 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Jensen Beach.

John Carroll Catholic 60, Somerset College Prep 50: Collin Jefferson scored 17 points and added four steals to lead the way foe the Rams (11-2). Aidan Singleton added 16 points and Caden Johnson scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds for John Carroll.

Cameron Moss scored 15 points and Alijah Baez added 12 points for the Spartans (3-6).

Pine School 49, Dreyfoos School of the Arts 35: Shiv Patel scored 18 points and JD Long added 12 points to lead the way for the Knights (8-2).

Girls Basketball

Somerset College Prep 47, John Carroll Catholic 41: Kaeley Ciceron scored 18 points to lead the Spartans (6-5) to victory. Summer Stone added 15 points and Madison Wilkins chipped in eight points for Somerset College Prep.

Chelsey Francis scored 18 points, Sammi Rychter added nine points and Paola Jean Simon and Morgan Scott both scored six points in the loss for the Rams (4-3).

Melbourne Central Catholic 2, St. Edward’s 1: Valentina Zavala netted the lone goal of the match for the Pirates (1-6-1), who got 10 saves in goal from Meagan Baker.

Jupiter 2, Treasure Coast 1: Deanna Romero scored off an assist from Lupita Vargas early in the second half but the Titans (6-2) couldn't erase a two-goal deficit in a District 10-7A defeat.

Sloan Bello and Valentina Vryonides put the Warriors ahead 2-0 after 40 minutes.

Treasure Coast's only losses this season are to Jupiter, who they defeated in penalty kicks in last year's 10-7A championship match.

South Fork 9, Fort Pierce Central 0: Makena Meyer netted a hat trick and added three assists to lead the way for the Bulldogs (9-3). Emma Stewart scored two goals and added an assist, Molly O’Donnell, Savannah Tatum, Addison Camene and Alexis Bush all hit the scoresheet, Paige Sossi and Cadence Reed each had two assists and Hailey Resetar made two saves in goal for South Fork.

Atlantic Christian 29, St. Edward’s 25: Gaby Collazo scored a game-high 10 points in the loss for the Pirates (7-5).

Boys Basketball

Pine School 60, Melbourne Central Catholic 33: Tamari Reed scored 17 points and Kyle Dixon went for 13 points to pace the Knights (9-2).

Morningside Academy 59, Berean Christian 55: Darious Moore scored 23 points and Damon Folds went for 18 points and 12 assists to lead the Eagles (7-6) in the win. Jaden Franklin added eight points and 11 rebounds for Morningside Academy.
