High school sports scores on the Treasure Coast for Sept. 12-17

Saturday's results

South Fork junior Addison Boyer grabbed a runner-up finish at Saturday’s Spanish River XC Invitational for the 3A girls race, running a season-best time of 18:26.46.

Freshman Emerson Brinn was not far off from Boyer running fifth with a personal best time of 19:08.99 and sophomore Abby McLaughlin finished 13rd with a time of 20:43.63 for the Bulldogs.

Lincoln Park Academy sophomore Jacey Lane ran a strong fourth in the girls 2A race with a personal best time of 19:30.07 for the Greyhounds.

Martin County junior Madison Movchuk took 29th in the 4A race running 21:21.72 for the Tiger girls.

Treasure Coast senior Thiago de Souza finished 33rd overall in the 4A race for the boys with a time of 17:24.89. Martin County freshman Robbie Ziskinder was 51st with a time of 18:02.27.

South Fork senior Richie Paulsek finished in 19th with a time of 17:40.21 and senior Parker Layman was 22nd with a time of 17:47.06 for the Bulldog boys in the 3A race.

Centennial d. Treasure Coast 19-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11: Shayla Henry had 15 kills and five aces as the Eagles (6-3) scored their second straight five-set victory on the road. Jewelianna Gonzalez added nine kills, Neveah Davis chipped in five kills and six blocks, Sarah Stouky had 25 digs and Christina Capozzi finished the match with 17 assists and five digs for Centennial, who has won five matches in a row.

St. Edward’s d. Morningside Academy 25-9, 27-25, 25-16: Meagan Baker had 12 kills and Kelly Barnett added eight kills to lead the Pirates (6-3) to victory. Makena Rodriguez added eight aces and seven digs, Elliotte Kahler had 10 assists and Natalee Rogers tallied 16 assists for St. Edward’s.

Boys Bowling

Fort Pierce Central 4, Vero Beach 0: Christian White bowled a 224 game and Charlie Passanante bowled a 399 series to lead the Cobras in the victory. Tyler Rilling bowled a 187 game and a 364 series to lead Vero.

Treasure Coast 4, Sebring 2: Ethan Paglione bowled a 226 game and a 414 series to lead the way for the Titans.

Girls Bowling

Vero Beach 4, Fort Pierce Central 0: Lily Hill bowled a 155 game and a 303 series to lead Vero in the win. Allison Kepher bowled a 131 game and a 238 series to lead the Cobras.

Centennial d. Vero Beach 25-23, 19-25, 18-25, 26-24, 16-14: A clinching ace from sophomore Ayla Jaure sent the Eagles (4-3) to a huge road victory rallying from a set down in Vero Beach.

Shayla Henry had 14 kills and 12 digs, Isabel Narbutus added 13 blocks and nine kills, Dakota Dunbar pitched in eight blocks and four kills, Sarah Stouky collected 24 digs and Christian Capozzi finished the match with 23 assists, eight digs and five aces for Centennial.

South Fork d. Treasure Coast 25-7, 25-11, 25-10: Alli Bowser had seven kills and five aces and Lindsey Scammell added five kills to lead the way for the Bulldogs (8-4). Jazzlyn Noll and Kailee Armbruster each served five aces, Marley Navaretta had 13 digs and Emmie Love added 19 assists, seven digs and four aces for South Fork.

St. Edward's d. John Carroll Catholic 25-8, 25-18, 25-27, 23-25, 15-12: Caroline Zoltak had nine kills and three aces to lead the Pirates (4-3) to a win in five sets. Meagan Baker added eight kills and three aces, Makena Rodriguez chipped in nine digs and four aces and Elliotte Kahler totaled 20 assists, five digs and three blocks for St. Edward's.
