High school sports tracker: Marion County highlights and schedule this week
The last week of September holds the MCIAC cross country meet and several other anticipated matchups around Ocala.

Volleyball
Monday, Sept. 26
Forest defeats Groveland South Lake (25-12, 25-16, 25-13)
The Wildcats grab their first win above .500 for the first time since September 6th. Their on a two game win streak and won't take the court again until Tuesday's match against Buchholz.
Redeemer defeats North Marion (25-23, 28-26, 25-7)
The Lions win a dog fight against the Colts. The first two sets were incredibly close with Redeemer winning both by two points but gaining major in the third to handily put away North Marion. Senior Meghan Killian played an overall game tallying a kill, 5 aces, 20 digs, and 8 receives.
Williston defeats Dunnellon (25-18, 25-16, 25-7)
The Red Devils hold of the Tigers in a three set sweep. Dunnellon had a good night at the net blocking 12 attacks with sohpomore Nia Heppner leading the way with 5 blocks.

Redeemer defeats Countryside Christian (25-23, 25-21, 25-15)
The Lions took their fourth win in a row in the final game played by any Marion County volleyball team. Senior Bella Acosta led her team with 11 kills. Senior Meghan Killian and Abigail Wilke turned in goo defensive performances with Killian recording 16 digs and 19 receives to go along with Wilke's dig and three blocks.

Vanguard defeats Dunnellon 566-546
The Knights survive the season's first tie and closest match of the season. Dunnellon's Leonora Hoyte led all bowlers with a high of 114. Juliana Henningsen paced Vanguard's team with 112 pins.
Forest defeats Belleview 1244-815
The Wildcats sweep the Rattlers 4 games to 0. Madison Rogers of Forest scores a session high 195 and her highest total of the season. Jordan Jones led all Belleview bowlers with 120.
West Port defeats Laker Weir 1336-710
West Port continues their dominance in the alley with another sweep. CC Kinchen scored a game high156 pins in the win. The Hurricanes high score of 105 comes from Haylie Fuentas.
