HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT ROUNDUP: Find all the South Shore scores here
The Abington High baseball and softball teams opened the tournament with a pair of decisive victories on Sunday to advance to the Division 4 Round of 16.
The softball team, which was seeded No. 6, defeated No. 27 Bartlett, 9-3. Shannon Varvitsiotis tossed 6 shutout innings while allowed 3 hits and striking out 8. Callie Pineau led the offense with a pair of 2-run home runs.
Maddie Perry had 2 hits and 2 runs while Kayden Lynch doubled and scored. Meg McCann had an RBI single.

Abington will host No. 11 Seekonk on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The No. 9 baseball team defeated Winthrop, 6-2, and will head to No. 8 Bellingham on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Ryan Tobin led the offense with an RBI triple and scored 2 runs. Aidan O'Donnell struck out 7 in the win on the mound.

SOFTBALL
Methuen 11, Hingham 2: The No. 26 Harborwomen lost on the road to No. 7.
Plymouth North 9, Danvers 8: The No. 8 Blue Eagles scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to extend the game and Kylee Hefner won the game in extras with a walk-off single. Plymouth North will host No. 9 Silver Lake in a Division 2 Round of 16 game on Monday at 2:30.
East Bridgewater 9, North Reading 1: The No. 22 Vikings upset the No. 11 seed on the road. EB advances to the Division 3 Round of 16.
Hopkinton 9, Marshfield 1: The Rams (12-11) lost in Division 1 prelim.
BASEBALL
Austin Prep 9, Archbishop Williams 0: The No. 32 Bishops couldn't upset the No. 1 seed in the Division 3 Round of 32.

Leicester 23, Cohasset 0: The Skippers lost in the Division 4 Round of 32 game.
Plymouth South 15, Somerville 0 (6 inn.): Tommy Sullivan tossed a no-hitter for the Panthers and added a 3-run home run at the plate. Matt Cassidy went 5-for-5 with 4 RBI and Nathan Ferry was 2-for-2 with an RBI. No. 7 Plymouth South will host the winner of No. 10 Reading and No. 23 Dartmouth in the Division 2 Round of 16.
BOYS TENNIS
Amherst-Pelham 4, Scituate 1: The No. 8 Sailors were eliminated in the Division 2 Round of 32.
Cape Cod Academy 4, Hanover 1: No. 24 Hanover couldn't pull off the upset at No. 9 CCA.
Cohasset 5, Mt. Greylock 0: The No. 6 Skippers eliminated the No. 27 seed in the Division 4 Round of 32.
GIRLS TENNIS
Plymouth North 3, Nashoba 2: The No. 9 Blue Eagles advance to the Division 2 Round of 16.
