HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Central keeps on rolling

Sep. 21—The Lady Indians (18-2) pushed their winning streak to 15 matches with a straight-set victory on Tuesday over an 11th Region rival.

Madison Central topped Henry Clay — 25-20, 25-22 and 25-18.

Lilly Dobbins had 20 digs and two aces. Avery Rigney had 16 digs, 10 kills and five blocks, while Emma Carter had 14 assists and six digs.

The Lady Indians jumped out to a 7-0 lead in third set behind the strong serving of Dobbins. The Lady Blue Devils (8-15) answered back, though, with eight-straight points to take the lead. Central was able to pull away late in the set to wrap up the match.

The Lady Indians have not lost since Aug. 20.

Central is set to return to action Thursday at home against Tates Creek.

Southern falls at home

The Lady Eagles were swept at home on Tuesday by Scott County (11-4).

Madison Southern fell by scores of 25-12, 25-14 and 25-19.

Julia Bingham had eight kills, four blocks and six digs. Bre Dawes had 17 digs and Anna Seals had 11 digs.

Jordyn Walker had four digs, three assists, two aces and two kills. Reagan Burns had eight assists and five digs. Abby McMullin had eight digs. Addy Spaulding had two digs and one kill. Sierra Johnson and Gracie Anglin each had two digs and Abby Dees had two blocks.

The Lady Eagles are set to return to action Thursday at Western Hills.

Model come up short

The Lady Patriots were handed a 3-0 loss Tuesday on the road by Frankfort Christian.

Model Laboratory (2-14) fell by scores of 26-24, 25-16 and 25-16.

The Lady Patriots have lost 10-straight matches.

Model is set to return to action Thursday at home against Oneida Baptist.
