High school volleyball team hosts fundraiser for McKeesport officer injured in shooting

The Thomas Jefferson High School boy’s volleyball team held a fundraiser on Sunday for the McKeesport officer who was injured in a shooting last month that left his partner dead.

All of the proceeds from the event were donated to Officer Chuck Thomas, who was injured in the line of duty alongside fallen Officer Sean Sluganski.

The team held the event to give back to Officer Thomas as he recovers as a token of thanks for his service. They sold over 100 bowling tickets to help raise money. They also had an auction and a 50/50 raffle.

Officer Thomas attended the event to accept the donation and participate in festivities with the team.
