Highway work meetings planned

Nov. 8—The New Mexico Department of Transportation is hosting two virtual/in-person public meetings to discuss the US 60 alignment study: milepost 325 to 383, Ft. Sumner to Clovis, in De Baca, Roosevelt, and Curry Counties.

The Study will examine needed improvements within the US 60 study limits, including upgrading the roadway with passing lanes and other safety enhancements, Americans with Disability Act facilities, drainage improvements, lighting, and signals.

The purpose of the meetings is to introduce the study and receive citizen input.

Meetings will be held today in Fort Sumner and Thursday in Melrose from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day.

A confirmation email will then be provided explaining how to join either using Zoom or by telephone.

To attend in-person: This evening's meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be at the Fort Sumner Library, 235 W. Sumner Ave. in Fort Sumner.

Thursday's meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be at Melrose City Hall, 108 Avenue B in Melrose.
