Highway Patrol investigating a fatal crash

LANCASTER— Troopers from the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a two-vehicle, fatal crash that occurred on Ohio 188 near the intersection of Mud House Road. The crash occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Aug. 4.

David Robison, 52, of Lancaster, was driving a 2002 Honda VTX 1800 motorcycle northbound on Ohio 188. Michael Camp, 44, of Baltimore, was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia southbound on Ohio 188. Robison and Camp struck each other head-on near the intersection of Mud House Road. Robison was transported to Fairfield Medical Center and pronounced deceased. Camp, along with his juvenile passenger, were not injured.

The Lancaster Post was assisted on the scene by the Pleasant Township Fire Department, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Pleasant Township Road Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
