This Hilarious Video Jokes About People Who Show Off Their Manicures and I Feel Attacked

“Sometimes I catch myself looking at mine and feel genuine shame.”

There's nothing quite like the feeling of getting a fresh manicure. Whether you're rocking diamond-coated tips or literal snow globes on your nails, you just have to show the world (and social media) your new look. And one Twitter user compiled that post-manicure glow into a now viral video.

On December 7, @officialayekev posted his version of what happens after someone gets a new manicure. The nearly minute-long clip is hilarious, with @officialayekev showing off a series of post-manicure activities, including eating chips with extra flair, riding the escalator at the mall with your nails on display, and the careful precision required of everyday activities like and texting. "when girls get they nails done," Kev captioned the clip.

Based on the video's nearly 3 million views, social media has clearly connected. In fact, the clip inspired others to start posting images of their manicures. From a set of "Christmas nails" to glitter-covered tips, many on Twitter couldn't help but get into the manicure show and tell spirit.

One user confessed to feeling attacked, but then went on to share their holiday nails, and another Twitter follower was shocked that others acted the same way, tweeting, "So true! I didn't think anyone noticed?!? Sometimes I catch myself looking at mine and feel genuine shame." One follower even gathered up their friends for a group nail video, writing, "I meannnnn since were sharing our nails."

Many of those interacting with the tweet definitely have their version of a must-have manicure to share, but it's clear they can all agree upon one thing: everyone has their own way of celebrating and sharing a newly painted set of nails.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, you can always protect your nails from the dangers of texting and snacking with dip powder.
