Hilary Duff & Kohl's Want to Give 10 Amazing Moms a Huge Mother's Day Gift This Year

All the moms out there, we see how much you’re doing in these difficult times, and how much you do in “normal” times. So does fellow mom Hilary Duff, which is why she and Kohl’s have launched a special contest for Mother’s Day this year. And if you have any kids at home who say they’re bored, you should totally get them to nominate you for it.
“So, Mother’s Day is coming up, and with the unfortunate circumstances going on right now, this seems like the most important year to make mom feel appreciated for what she does,” Duff said on her Instagram Stories on Monday. “I’m seeing the most amazing things on the internet of how moms are entertaining children right now while we are all stuck inside. We are being teachers, and playmates, and cleaning the house nonstop, and chefs, and trying to take care of multiple children, and doing the best we can through this.”
Kohl’s is sponsoring this Amazing Moms Contest, giving 10 grand-prize winners a gift bundle worth more than $500. Duff herself curated this bundle, which includes a NutriBullet Nutrient Extractor Blender; Apple AirPods; a Victrola Portable Suitcase Record Player with Bluetooth; Elizabeth and James® Hammered Bangles & Beaded Stretch Bracelet Sets; an Elizabeth and James Knotted Soft Hobo Bag; a 3-quart Instant Pot Duo Nova Pressure Cooker; and one 8” Food Network Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Skillet. The 10 people who submit those winners will also receive a $500 Kohl’s gift card (extra motivation!).

To nominate a mom (or “mom figure”), visit KohlsAmazingMomsContest.com, and submit an essay of 300 words or less about why she’s amazing. Both the contest “submitter” and the nominee need to be 18 years or older, and you can’t nominate yourself. Even if we think this is a great homeschool assignment for your kids, you’re going to need a partner to help them submit it. Or, you could actually nominate your own mother/mother figure or a fellow mom that you think is effing awesome at what she’s doing. If we don’t see some health-care workers winning these prizes, there is truly something wrong with this world.
While you wait for your prize to come in, you may as well browse the great deals the store has on baby gear and clothing, and kids clothing and entertainment.
“Right now, many moms are working double duty or taking on additional responsibilities to keep their families safe,” Duff wrote Monday in a sponsored Instagram post.
Entries have to be received by April 15, but no one should need quite that long to come up with reasons the moms in their lives are amazing.
