Hilary Swank shares news of birth of twins with husband

Hilary Swank has announced that she has given birth to twins, a boy and girl, with her husband Philip Schneider.
The actress made the sweet announcement with a post on her Instagram account, sharing an image of herself looking out across the sea while cradling the two newborns. "It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it," she wrote in the caption.
"Happy Easter!" she added, alongside two chick emojis. "Posting from pure Heaven."
Friends and fellow A-listers were quick to congratulate the actress on her baby joy, writing their well-wishes in Swank's comments.

"Aaaaahhhh!!!!! Congratulations," wrote The Woman King's Viola Davis alongside a string of heart emojis.
"So happy to see you turkeys soaking up the sea, the sun and the salt air! Love you. Welcome to planet Earth little ones. Hope you have a lovely stay here," commented Supernatural's Misha Collins.
"Welcome home, angels," added Law & Order SVU star Mariska Hargitay.
The Academy Award-winning actress, who's best known for her roles in Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby, announced her pregnancy back in October.

Revealing the news on Good Morning America she said: "This is something I’ve been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I’m going to be a mom!" (via Metro).
"I’m going to be a mom and, not just of one, but of two.
"It’s so nice to be able to talk about it and share it," she added. "And I am sharing it right now for the first time."
Swank, who currently stars in ABC drama series Alaska Daily, went on to reveal that she'd worked hard to keep the news a secret while on set, adding that she had altered her costumes in order to keep the pregnancy under wraps.
