Russian dictator Vladimir Putin chose to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson — a "political commentator," if not simply an American provocateur who was fired from Fox News — because he is useful, explained Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on MSNBC news on Feb. 8.

Putin's decision was driven by Carlson being an anti-Ukrainian propagandist, aligning with the dictator's agenda, Clinton said commenting on the ongoing media debates regarding the ethical considerations of providing Putin a platform to spread his lies to a multi-million audience of U.S. residents.

"He is what is called a ‘useful idiot,’” she said.

“If you actually read translations of what is being said in the Russian media, they make fun of him. I mean, he's like a puppy dog.”

“I would not be surprised if he emerges with a contract with a Russian outlet, because he's a useful idiot. He says things that are not true, he parrots Vladimir Putin's pack of lies about Ukraine. So, I don't see why Putin wouldn't give him an interview."
