Hillary Clinton tweets Lizzo lyrics: 'I just took a DNA test, turns out...'
The most unwavering Hillary Clinton stans will be beside themselves today as their queen drops the mic yet again.
This week, she proved she not only has her finger firmly on the pop culture pulse, but that her sense of humour remains dryly intact.
On Tuesday, singer Lizzo tweeted a clip from the 2016 presidential campaign, which featured Clinton standing among four male candidates.
Playing over the scene, in which they stand for the national anthem, is the opening line to Lizzo's viral hit song "Truth Hurts".
A voice in the video says: "To honour America, please rise for our national anthem."
As the camera pans round to the candidates' faces, the lyrics to Lizzo's song play over their sombre-looking faces, saying: "Why men great 'til they gotta be great?"

None of the candidates (which included Bernie Sanders) were tagged in the tweet, but Clinton must have seen it, as – much to the delight of fans – she responded with the following line of the song.
Yesterday Clinton tweeted a reply saying: "I just took a DNA test, turns out..." Any fan of the song will know that the lyric continues: "turns out I'm 100% that bitch".
"I just took a DNA test, turns out..."

Her tweet has now spawned a meme in which people respond an alternative ending to the line, based on what they think Hillary wanted to say.
Even actor Patricia Arquette weighed in, saying, "You were a woman. In a country full of misogynists."

You would’ve been the best President ever.

Others were sceptical that Clinton really was a Lizzo fan.
There is a zero percent chance that it was Hillary herself who tweeted this. It was a staffer.

If this ain't a white person trying to be something she ain't. 😅😅😂😂

Hilarious yall think she listens to Lizzo. Someone told her to tweet this or did it for her based on Lizzo's tweet. "Turns out" She's just pandering again. Where's her hot sauce to go with that tune??

But real or not, most people were living for the idea of a Hillary-Lizzo twitter love-in.
