Hilliard woman wins in Nationwide Children's Hospital Marathon

A runner from Hilliard won the women's division Sunday at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon with a time of 2:39:01.

Sarah Biehl — originally from the village of Lowell near Marietta and a graduate of Shawnee State University — shaved more than five minutes off her 2018 performance, when she ran the Columbus Marathon in a time of 2:44:25. She was also a qualifier for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trial Marathon in Atlanta.

HollyAnn Swann, of Huntington, West Virginia, took second place in the race with a time of 2:44:40. Christine Guerrero, of California, took third place after running a time of 2:46:18.

Molly Bookmyer, a Columbus resident who has pursued a running lifestyle after two brain surgeries, won the half marathon with a time of 1:10:51. Rosa Moriello, of Colorado, took second place with a time of 1:11:31. Maura Lemon, of Dayton, ran a time of 1:17:35 and took third place.

More than 11,500 people participated in Sunday's Nationwide Children's Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon. Organizers have raised over $11 million for the hospital since 2012 and organizers estimate that they will bring that number to $12 million this year.
