Historic Black Community In Long Island Highlighted In Apple TV+'s 'Home' Series

Apple TV+ has premiered the second season of its design docuseries, Home.

The new season features new destinations, offering viewers a never-before-seen look inside the world’s most innovative homes. It also features an episode on a historic Black community in Long Island.

The series goes worldwide to tell stories from homeowners that showcase their unique and deep connections to communities and iconic buildings.

Locations visited in season two include the Hourré House in France, Casa de Carla y Pedro in Mexico City, House of the Big Arch in South Africa and many more.

Each episode in the second season of “Home” unveils the boundary-pushing imagination of the visionaries who dared to dream and build them around the world, including the Netherlands, South Africa, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Iceland, and more. Through these unique stories from the homeowners, their deep intention and unique vision are unveiled in the remarkable homes they’ve created, leaving an indelible impact on those around them.

This season looks at a historic section of Sag Harbor, known as the SANS subdivision, the history of the area and how African Americans established the community as a place to rest and grow in a safe environment free of systematic discrimination.

Home is produced for Apple by A24 and is executive produced by Matthew Weaver, Kim Rozenfeld, Ian Orefice, Alyse Walsh, Collin Orcutt, Ben Cotner, Emily Q. Osborne, and Sarba Das.
