Elizabeth Vs. Shanae: Here’s Who Won On ‘The Bachelor’ Last Night
Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor is filled with firsts: It's the first season with new host Jesse Palmer, for one, and it also features the first Bachelor to ever take a rose *back* from a contestant (if you know, you know).
While Clayton was unlucky in love during Bachelorette Michelle Young's season, he's back on our TV screens for a second chance at finding his future wife. So far, he's had a lot to deal with—from a freshly un-engaged contestant to someone else who's sort of seeing another guy—but he's still determined to figure out who's really here for the right reasons.
This week, that decision was more difficult than ever for Clayton. With #shrimpgate stealing everyone for many seconds, it seemed like the ongoing feud between Elizabeth and Shanae might never end. (More on that—including who was really in that hot tub—in a sec.)
But sadly, they can't all be rose-winners. Already, quite a few contestants have left The Mansion and headed home empty-handed. Missed last night's episode (or simply want to relive it)? Here's every Bachelor contestant who's been eliminated so far:
Week 4:
Elizabeth Corrigan
First thing's first: Yes, Elizabeth was in the hot tub! As Clayton attempted to settle the beef between Elizabeth and Shanae, Shanae accused Elizabeth of "bullying" her. The evidence? When Shanae offered a group of women in the hot tub some shrimp, "no one" even gave her the time of day.
Elizabeth, 32, claimed she wasn't even in the hot tub at the time, but viewers know that's not true. And no one said it better than Clayton himself: "We're talking about shrimp, and the hot tub, and whether or not Elizabeth was there," he said in a confessional. "We're not resolving conflict—we're talking about shrimp."
Cut to the rose ceremony, when Clayton decided to keep Shanae and send real estate advisor Elizabeth home to Highlands Ranch, Colorado, instead. A bad decision? Only time (and future episodes) will tell.
Melina Nasab
Personal trainer Melina gave it her all, but her time ran out this week. The 27-year-old's connection with Clayton was cut short when he sent her back to West Hollywood, California, without a bloom.
Kira Mengistu
Something about physician Kira's relationship with Clayton just didn't check out. The 32-year-old returned to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, alone this week (and sans rose).
Week 3:
Cassidy Timbrooks
Drama queen Cassidy, 26, thought she had Clayton wrapped around her little finger. But when the executive assistant blabbed to the other contestants about the guy she was seeing back home in Los Angeles, California, Clayton wasted no time in taking back her rose and ending her time on the show. Her Bachelor run ends here (although her future on Bachelor in Paradise is still up in the air).
Ency Abedin
It's back to the drawing board for Ency — this 26-year-old sales manager set sail for Burbank, California with only one rose under her belt.
Kate Gallivan
Real estate agent Kate couldn't close the deal on a relationship with the Bachelor. The 32-year-old went home to Lake Hollywood, California, at the second rose ceremony.
Tessa Tookes
Tessa, a 26-year-old human resources specialist, was a good sport — she just wasn't compatible with Clayton. She left for Stamford, Connecticut, feeling unlucky in love.
Week 2:
This week, Clayton left things on a total cliffhanger. After one contestant stole him for a sec and revealed that Cassidy was still seeing someone back home, Clayton asked Jesse if anyone had ever taken a rose back before. That gigantic TBD left no room for a rose ceremony, so no one went home.
Week 1:
Salley Carson
Right after breaking things off with her fiancé, Salley headed to The Mansion in the hopes of finding new love. Clayton did offer her a rose, but the 26-year-old turned it down before heading back to Charlottesville, Virginia, on her own.
Claire Heilig
Claire didn't feel any sparks fly with Clayton, and she let everyone know it. After telling the other contestants she hated him, the 28-year-old spray tanner left for Virginia Beach, Virginia (and that's probably for the best).
Lindsay Dobbs
Lindsay, a.k.a. a 27-year-old former Miss Teen America, has captured plenty of hearts onstage, but left The Mansion alone. The neonatal nurse headed back to Jacksonville, Florida, without a bloom to call her own.
Daria Rose
The jury was out on law student Daria, 24, until her name wasn't called at the first rose ceremony. She left for Baldwin, New York, almost as soon as she arrived.
Hailey Malles
This pediatric nurse just didn't seem to get the time she needed with the Bachelor. He sent 26-year-old Hailey home to Orlando, Florida, after a super quick convo.
Jane Paik
Jane, 33, arrived hoping to dazzle Clayton. Unfortunately, their brief connection lost its luster, so the social media director hopped on the first flight home to Los Angeles, California.
Ivana Noble
Ivana's silent entrance was definitely... unique, but Clayton just didn't buy it. The 31-year-old bat mitzvah dancer hightailed it back to Queens, New York, at the end of the season premiere.
Samantha Jeffries
Not even a sudsy entrance in a bubble bath could help 26-year-old Samantha slip into week 2. The Bachelor sent the occupational therapist home to San Diego, California, mere moments after meeting her.
Rianna Hockaday
Rianna, 26, seemed to make a great first impression. Sadly, she didn't stick around—Clayton sent the registered nurse home to Dallas, Texas, at the end of night one.
