Historic Middletown farmstead closes at $1.655 million

Oct. 6—The multi-generational Bidle farm at 3140 Bidle Road, Middletown, closed at $1.655 million. It listed for $1.6 million.

Built in 1900, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom farmhouse has been vacant for a few years and is ready for renovation.

The 95-acre property also includes the original brick summer kitchen, bank barn and multiple outbuildings. Over the years the property has been operational as a dairy farm and used for cropland and pasture land.

The farm runs along Catoctin Creek and is in three parcels with potential subdivision of 12 building lots.
