STRATHAM — Joseph (Joe) Gluckert, historian at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, will speak in a free program to be held Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Morgera Community Room at the Stratham Fire Department, located at the corner of Winnictt Road and Portsmouth Avenue.

Teen Movie Night in Dover

DOVER — On Monday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. join the Dover Public Library as for a free showing of "The Hunger Games." This program is for teens in grades 7-12. The 2012 movie is rated PG-13 and runs for 2 hours and 22 minutes.

Seabreeze Quilt Guild demonstration

EXETER — The Seabreeze Quilt Guild meet Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m., in the Senior Center, Court Street, Exeter. Long time member Carol Poitras will demonstrate how to make a handmade Seabreeze Quilt Guild badge. This will be a hands on demo. If you have all the required supplies – bring along an iron and a small ironing surface and you will be able to complete the top of the badge. Instructions will be given and the color choice is up to you. Door prizes and refreshments will be provided.

18th annual Learn Forum

PORTSMOUTH – The Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle is gearing up for the 18th annual Learn Forum. The focus this year is on housing insecurity. Community members are invited to attend the event at 3S Artspace, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 14.  This forum is open to the local community at no cost, but registration is necessary. BERWICK, Maine — "Poor Howard" Stith and Mike "Bullfrog" Rogers will return to the Berwick Public Library on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. Their program, “A Walk Through the Delta,” mixes music and folk humor and shows how the blues has gained international popularity.

Workshop and free water testing for private well users

GREENLAND — The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, together with the Seacoast Drinking Water Commission, has been holding events regarding water quality and testing of private wells in Seacoast area communities. On Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at Greenland Central School, 70 Post Road, Greenland we will cover any private wells in Portsmouth, Greenland, Newington and Rye.  At the private well workshop, you can learn about common well contaminants, health effects, testing and water treatment and go home with a test kit an information on when and where to return with filled bottles. Test your water for a long list including: coliform bacteria, radon, arsenic, lead and PFAS.
