Hit musical 'Hamilton' to bring history, music back to Ohio Theatre for Oct. 4-23 run

Broadway in Columbus, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts and producer Jeffrey Seller have announced that tickets to “Hamilton” will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer-winning musical, which offers a revolutionary perspective on American history and Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, will return to town for a multi-week encore run Oct. 4-23 at the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St.

Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, "Hamilton" has won Tony, Grammy, and Olivier awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Tickets cost $39 to $179, or $199 for premium tickets, with nine tickets the maximum purchase limit per account.

All performances also will offer a lottery for 40 $10 seats, with details to be announced closer to the run.
