Hit-and-run driver injures 8-year-old girl in Atlanta, police say

A girl was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver in Atlanta on Sunday.

According to Atlanta police, the victim, an 8-year-old girl, was hit by a vehicle at 925 Conley Road NE.

Police say the girl was complaining about pain in her leg.

She was taken to Eggleston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, but the passenger of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
