Hoffmaster blasts TR to win

Three Rivers beat Schoolcraft in a single matchup on Saturday, 11-1. The Wildcats posted four runs in the first and fifth innings, plus two more in the second and one in the sixth to end the game.

London Hoffmaster blasted a pair of home runs in the game, she drove in three runs.

Lanie Glass and Jennaya Decker each had two hits, one of Decker’s was a triple. Both Gabby Charvat and Peyton Ware had one hit and drove in two runs, Allie McGlothlen connected for one RBI with a hit as well. Ava Forman and Emily Ventrone each contributed one hit. Dani Glass recorded an RBI.

Ware and Decker combined to strike out seven hitters.

Burr Oak girls win again

The Burr Oak softball team pounded on North Adams-Jerome on Friday, winning 16-0 and 13-2.

With the wins, the Bobcats are now 8-0 on the season.

The first game lasted three innings. Burr Oak scored 11 times in the first inning and five times in the second.

The Bobcats registered just three hits. They earned eight walks.

Braylynn Hernandez, Elaine Holtom and Lily Holtom each had a hit and an RBI. Lily Holtom stole four bases in the game, Hernandez stole three bases.

Picking up the win was Brooklynn Root, she struck out eight hitters.

Burr Oak led 5-0 after one inning in the second game. The Bobcats added seven in the third and one in the fourth.

Root clubbed three doubles and drove in three runs. Makaila Whittington and Natalie Hemenway each had a base hit and an RBI, Hernandez hit a triple. Elaine Holtom drove in two runs. Amy Ledyard stole two bases.

Hemenway pitched all five innings, striking out six.

Constantine sweeps Sturgis

The Constantine softball team won a pair of games over Sturgis on Saturday.

The Lady Falcons won the contest, 9-3 and 19-18.

The opener saw Constantine record 13 hits. Hallee Schieber, Kaitlyn Ross, Jocelyn Butler, Meah Evans and Jozee Buglione each had two hits in the game. Butler drove in three, Ross drove in two. Olivia Ransbottom notched an RBI hit, both Breanna Bristol and Olivia Herlein had one base hit.

SHS got two hits and two RBI from Mia Martinez. Riley Northrop added two hits in the game. Haylee Pappas, Angela Cary, Kennedy Finnerman, Olivia Miller and Hannah Stielau all had one hit.

Ross picked up the win, striking out 11 hitters. Northrop pitched for Sturgis, striking out six.

In the second game, SHS led 18-17 entering the final at bat for Constantine. Schieber drove in the final run, which scored Raeann Michalek on a sacrifice fly to ultimately give the Falcons the win.

Buglione belted three hits with four RBI, Ransbottom totaled three hits with one RBI. Aubrae Good connected for two hits with two RBI, Michalek added two hits and drove in three.

Kirstin Hall registered two hits. Butler, Herlein, Ross, Melanie Ritchie and Evans each notched one hit in the game.

SHS got four hits from Cary, she drove in two runs. Northrop and Finnerman each hit a home run and drove in four total runs.

Martinez drove in two with a pair of hits. Miller and Kami Kimes both had an RBI hit, Pappas and Leah Yunker each collected a base hit.

Bristol and Ross pitched for the Falcons, striking out a combined 10 hitters. Miller and Martinez pitched for Sturgis, striking out five combined hitters.

Mendon at Gull Lake 

The Mendon softball team played at the Gull Lake Invitational on Saturday in Battle Creek.

The Hornets won the first game over Charlotte, 17-0. A 5-2 loss came in the second game for the Hornets, they lost to River Valley. In the final game, Mendon beat Harper Creek 2-1.

Colon wins a pair of games 

The Colon softball team beat Battle Creek Pennfield 11-8 and 6-2 on Friday night.

Tatum Cline registered two hits with two RBI in the game, Kelsey Burgess connected for two hits with one RBI as well. Riley Kyle drove in two runs with a hit.

Charlee Kyle, Liv Johnson and Sadie Wickey each had one hit and one RBI. Reese Williams hit a double.

Peighton Stouder and Haven McClish both were credited with an RBI.

Andi Borgert struck out four hitters in seven innings of work.

Pennfield scored first in the second game, but Colon responded with two runs in the second, third and fifth innings.

Stouder collected three hits and an RBI, Cline had two hits and drove in one.

Williams, McClish and Riley Kyle all had one hit and an RBI. Johnson, Charlee Kyle and Cheyanne Frame each had a base hit.

Alyssa Hess struck out 12 hitters from inside the circle.
