Maryland's ghost gun bill will become law without Gov. Larry Hogan's signature. Friday is the deadline for the governor to veto legislation that has already made it to his desk, and Session 2022 ends at midnight Monday. Two sessions are being held in both chambers Friday as lawmakers work at a fast pace to send more bills to his desk. They're also anxiously awaiting the governor's anticipated vetoes. In what many lawmakers consider a surprise move, the governor on Friday decided not to veto legislation that bans the sale, receipt and transfer of ghost guns. Ghost guns don't have serial numbers and are assembled from parts sold in kits online without any background checks required.
