Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Tuesday announced several actions the state will take in an effort to help address violent crime in Baltimore City, which includes reviewing prosecutorial data. Hogan said the state is immediately fast-tracking and expanding its $10 million Neighborhood Safety Grants program to include places of worship and vulnerable communities. The grants will support hardware upgrades, lighting, cameras and increased security services for community organizations and business districts.
