Holby City brings back two characters as Ollie exits

Holby City has finished off 2021 with the exit of one popular character as well as the returns of two others!
Tuesday's episode left viewers with some big questions about the remaining episodes of Holby City to come, particularly as Ollie Valentine hung up his scrubs in Holby for the last time.
His final scenes were somberly low-key, with a choir caroling to 'Hark! the Herald Angel Sings' as he quietly slipped out largely unnoticed.

As Ollie rounded the corner, he took a video call from none other than Zosia March, revealing that he was on his way to her — and would be arriving quiet early at around 5am, in fact!
"Arthur will be so happy to see you," she told Ollie of his son.
Ollie assured her: "I'm excited to see him. You too, sausage!"
Zosia was last seen on-screen in the spring of 2019, having decided to move to America when it was finally revealed that she was expecting a baby with Ollie.
Viewers will likely be happy to see that Ollie and Zosia are finally ending up together — at least, seemingly so — after a tumultuous relationship over the years.
Zosia wasn't the only familiar face to return to Holby City for its Christmas episode! Nicky McKendrick also made a cameo passing Ollie as he walked down the street, wishing him a Happy Christmas.
Last time viewers saw Nicky, she'd made the difficult decision to take time away from the hospital because she was experiencing pregnancy complications.
In some hopeful resolution, Nicky was pushing a pram past Ollie, so it looks as if all went well when her little one arrived. What will 2022 bring Nicky as she returns to Holby?
