Holiday House Tablescape Event to benefit breast cancer research comes to Palm Beach
Interior designers at The Colony in Palm Beach on Monday will turn the tables — or at least their tops — into something creative to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The Holiday House Tabletop Event will make its debut in Palm Beach after years as a fundraising staple in New York City and The Hamptons.
More than 15 designers are expected to create tablescapes “to showcase cutting-edge décor and lifestyle concepts,” according to advance publicity about the fundraiser.
Jennifer Garrigues of Jennifer Garrigues Interior Design in Palm Beach is taking an exotic approach to her vignette, she said Tuesday.

The idea, Garrigues says, is having a luncheon or dinner on safari, “sort of like you’re out in the bush.”
She’ll place a sisal rug on the floor and top it with a 1950s-era bamboo table with Chippendale-style fretwork.
“It’s actually kind of fabulous,” Garrigues says.
The centerpiece will be a floral arrangement in a silver bowl carried by elephant figurines.

Decorator Amanda Lindroth, who has studios in Palm Beach and the Bahamas, envisioned a “palm-frond-dappled loggia” for her “very tropical Palm Beach vignette.”
Lindroth will use wicker pieces from her own collection and decorate the table with handblocked linens in coral and Italian flatware.
The designer roster also will include Ashley Stark Home; Campion Platt Interiors in collaboration with Ted Hartley; Casa Branca; David Lucido; Designs by Javier; Elsa Soyars Interiors; Gary McBournie Inc. in collaboration with Pioneer Linens; and Hive Collective.
Others taking part will be Just Darviny; Liz McDermott Interiors; Mabley Handler Interior Design; Melanie Roy Design; NIBA Designs; Palm Beach Design Masters’ Pembroke and Ives; and The Lewis Design Group.
Holiday House has raised almost $2 million for breast cancer research since its inception, according to event organizers.
The event will take place 6 to 9 p.m. in the Coral Ballroom at The Colony. General admission tickets are $250, and VIP tickets are $500. Ticket information is available at HolidayHouseNYC.com.
