Holiday jazz concert set for Dec. 8
The Charlevoix Public Library is presenting a holiday concert as part of the Jazz @ the Library Series from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8.
This holiday concert will include a special appearance by vocalist Claudia Schmidt singing her favorite holiday tunes.
Schmidt has been performing her craft for over four decades, according to a press release from the library.
"Her work is a quirky and wonderful hodge-podge (her words) of music, poetry, story and laughter. She has worked in clubs, theatres, festivals, TV and radio. Her love of Northern Michigan and her family adds depth and dimension to every performance," according to the release.
The Jazz @ the Library Series concerts also include Steve Stargardt on the keyboard, Andy Evans on bass, and John Lindenau on the drum set.
Join friends and neighbors for an hour of Schmidt sharing holiday favorites in the Library Community Meeting Room. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information about this or other library programs, visit the library at www.charlevoixlibrary.org.
