Holiday parades and events are back in Bucks and Montco. Here's where to catch one in your town

The holiday parade and event season is here and town's are bringing back these time-honored traditions in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Find a holiday parade near you. It's sure to be a festive time.

Bristol Township Holiday Parade

Saturday, Nov. 20, noon

The Bristol Township Holiday Parade is back featuring the Truman High School Marching Band and Cheerleaders, Eagles Pep Band, Mummers All Stars, Bristol Township Baton Twirlers, Bristol Township Council, local sports organizations, local businesses, church organizations, nonprofits, dance studios, car clubs, police and fire, Santa and more, organizers said.

The parade will begin at Brookwood School, traveling down Haines Road and turning on Millcreek Road to Millcreek Elementary! Grab your chairs and bags for candy collection and join the route.

The township tree lighting is set for Saturday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.at the Municipal Park Amphitheater, 2501 Bath Road.

Hatboro's 61st Holiday Parade

Sunday, Nov. 21, 2 to 4 p.m.

Hatboro will start the local holiday season with its parade. The event starts at Summit Avenue and the parade marches south to Newington Drive. This year's theme is the "12 Days of Christmas."

Doylestown Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade

Friday, Nov. 26, 5 p.m.

Doylestown Winterfest kicks off with the 107th tree lighting at State and Main streets in the borough.

The evening begins with a performance by Bucks Country Gentleman performs in front of Siren Records at 5 p.m., followed by a performance of the Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society at 5:10 p.m. and CB West Choir at 6 p.m.

Ana and Elsa arrive from Arendelle at 6:40 along with the CB West band. Santa arrives at 6:45 to light the tree!

Bristol Borough Christmas Parade

Saturday, Nov. 27, 1 p.m.

The route starts at Simon and Schuster on Farragut Ave (right near McKinley Street). Goes all the way down Farragut/Pond Street, makes a left onto Mill Street and ends at Mill and Radcliffe. Rain date is Sunday.

Quakertown Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

Friday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m.

Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for Quakertown Borough's annual Christmas Tree Lighting from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, cookies and more from a variety of vendors. The tree is located in the triangle parking lot on Broad Street.

Langhorne Dickens Night

Friday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m.

The Langhorne Borough Business Association hosts Dickens Night with a tree lighting, carolers, bonfire, vendors and more in the Langhorne Park at Maple and South Bellevue avenues.

Yardley Christmas Parade

Saturday, Dec. 4, 3:30 p.m.

The parade travels South Main St and West Afton Ave, starting at the American legion and ending at the Buttonwood park. At the end of the parade Santa will light the tree and have a meet-and-greet for the kids.

Morrisville WinterFest

Saturday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m.

The parade route is West Post Road to South Pennsylvania Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Washington Street, East Bridge Street, North Pennsylvania Avenue, West Palmer Street and ends at Morrisville High School.

Perkasie Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 4. 5 p.m.

Perkasie Borough continues its long-standing tradition when the town hosts the nation’s oldest community tree lighting ceremony. It is now in its 112th year.

The event opens at 5 p.m. with Perkasie Mayor John Hollenbach and his annual reading of “T’was the Night Before Christmas.”

Carols and holiday music from the Pennridge South Middle School Choir and the Central Middle School acapella group will be followed by rocking holiday music from Mike Greer & Co. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arrive on a Perkasie Electric Truck to light the Christmas tree at 7 p.m.

Families are welcome to take photos with Santa in the RE/MAX440 building at 7th & Market, and will find more photo ops with Belle & Beast and at the stunning Bloom Flower Company display on 7th Street. Aerial acrobatic performances and routines from the Pennridge Cheer Team, wandering carolers, musicians, food vendors, free horse & carriage rides, ballerinas in store windows, giveaways from event sponsors, and shopping and dining specials, round out the evening.

Perkasie is full of Holiday cheer over the Tree Lighting weekend. The Perkasie Towne Improvement Association presents First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 3. Doug Kramer’s Nostalgic Holiday Train Display will be on display at the Perkasie Electric Building at 120 N. 7th St from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Perkasie Historical Society on W. Walnut St. is hosting a “Polar Express” themed story time (4pm) and “Christmas in Perkasie” display from 3pm on Saturday. Families can catch Santa on Friday night as he makes his rounds of Perkasie neighborhoods and again on Saturday afternoon when everyone rides for free at the historic Carousel at Perkasie’s Menlo Park.

Newtown Holiday Parade

Sunday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m.

This parade is a huge event that continues to provide a magical experience for the whole community, organizers said. Hosted each year by the Newtown Business Association, the parade, which is co-sponsored by McCaffrey's Food Markets, kicks off at 2 p.m. from South State Street at the Stocking Works. It then continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street. The Parade eventually ends at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Free, rain or shine event.
