Winter Lights continues through Dec. 31 at the North Carolina Arboretum. Winter Lights is a walk-through light show that also features story times, food for purchase, Rocky Cove Railroad and more. For tickets and details, visit ncarboretum.org.

Evening Stroller Mafia meets at 5 p.m. Nov. 30 at New Belgium Brewing. Meet outside the tap room’s main entrance and walk from New Belgium to the dog park and back (about an hour total). Meet on the grass of New Belgium after the walk for more socializing. No need to do the whole walk – just look for the strollers and meet on the grass after. Ready for Kindergarten – If a child in your life will be going to kindergarten next year, join the Buncombe Partnership for Children online Dec. 1, for a free Ready for Kindergarten session. Learn what to expect as you support your child’s transition to kindergarten. Anyone participating can receive a Kaplan Kindergarten Readiness Kit with resources for families and materials for kids.
