Holland America Line is offering up to 45% off cruise fares
For Holland America Line's 150th birthday this month, the cruise line is giving guests a gift. The line is offering up to 45% off fares on select sailings, reduced deposits and onboard credit through May as part of an anniversary sale, Holland America said Wednesday.
Guests can get reduced deposits of $150, and as much as $150 in money per passenger to spend on board – depending on the length of their voyage and their cabin category – according to a news release.
"Holland America Line's 150th anniversary is an opportunity to show our guests how much we appreciate them, whether it's through special onboard activities or amazing offers like the Anniversary Sale that make cruising with us an even more valuable vacation," Beth Bodensteiner, the line's chief commercial officer, said in the release. "Our milestone birthday this month is one that few companies ever reach, and we're taking the year to celebrate Holland America Line and the historical significance of the brand."

The offer applies to "Summer 2023-Winter/Spring 2024 cruises/cruisetours" booked between April 5 and May 4, according to the line's website. Cruises three days or shorter and Grand Voyages are not eligible for the promotion, and the fare discount does not include taxes, fees and port expenses.
Only the first and second guests in a stateroom can take advantage of the anniversary sale.
The reduced deposit portion applies to full deposits and will not result in additional decreases to those that are already reduced. Passengers can use the onboard credit toward specialty restaurants, shore excursions, spa services and more, according to the release.
