HOLLAND — Holland resident Delaney Ann Prins has received an award from the Daughters of the American Revolution for achievements in the non-performance arts.

Prins, an artist, was nominated by Holland's Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton Chapter Regent Christine Hoek, with letters of support from the International Relations Commission of Holland, the Holland Area Arts Council, Mary Sundstrom and Esther Fifelski.

Photographs of Prins' artwork were sent to the DAR in Washington, D.C. to be considered. She was approved for the 2022 DAR Women in the Arts Recognition Award, presented during the local chapter's meeting Jan. 12.
