GRAND RAPIDS — Holland-based digital consulting firm Twisthink will relocate its headquarters to downtown Grand Rapids, following approval of a $300,000 performance grant.

The grant comes from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and ensures the company's $2.2 million investment in relocation, plus 37 new jobs.

“This is a pivotal moment for us,” said managing partner Robert Niemiec. “What we have created and practiced over the past two decades has reached the tipping point for companies desiring to innovate, accelerate and grow.

"As a team of knowledge workers trained to address and solve complex problems, we chose Grand Rapids for two reasons: it brings us closer to more innovative thinkers across a diverse slate of industries from healthcare to industrial manufacturing to mobility, and it allows us to tap into a deeper pool of specialized talent in the region."

Twisthink, founded in 2001 in Holland, works alongside companies like Whirlpool, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft. The company's move to the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building within the Grand Rapids Innovation Park means joining other notable tenants like Michigan State University, Perrigo and Spectrum Health.

"As catalysts to the region, they will help drive innovation and the adoption of digital technology across all sectors, which better serves communities and expands access."

West Michigan Works and Grand Rapids Community College will support the project with a workforce training package in 2023. Assistance has also come from economic development organization The Right Place, Rockford Construction and the city of Grand Rapids.

Twisthink hopes to arrive in Grand Rapids by the beginning of next year, but is already expanding its team and adding jobs. Learn more at twisthink.com/careers.
