HOLLAND TWP. — A man is in custody and facing two felony charges after an early Sunday morning stabbing in Holland Township.

Just before 4 a.m. May 22, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a stabbing at a house near the intersection of Woodside Drive and Franklin Avenue. Officials said that the caller said a man was stabbed in the arm.

A brief investigation by deputies at the scene determined there was an argument between the residents of the home and a man who showed up at the residence early Sunday morning. The victim, a 41-year-old man, was stabbed in the arm and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Just after 1 p.m Sunday, authorities located a suspect, 37-year-old Ramiro Diaz-Jimenez of Holland Township at Walmart in Holland Township and took him into custody.

Diaz-Jimenez was arraigned in the 58th District Court Monday afternoon on two charges, assault with intent to commit great bodily harm and felonious assault.

Judge Juanita Bocanegra set Diaz-Jimenez's bond at $100,000.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to call the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
