Who is Holly Brand? Get to know ‘The Voice’ standout from Mississippi.

We’ll get to see plenty more of our “Mississippi Girl” Holly Brand this season on “The Voice.”

In anticipation of the NBC singing competition here are a few facts about the Team Kelly sensation who sang Faith Hill for her blind audition.

  • Brand was crowned Miss Mississippi 2021. She was 21 years old.

  • Holly Brand was born May 2, 2000, which makes her a Taurus.

  • Brand is from Meridian, Mississippi.

  • She is the daughter of Barry and Connie Brand.

  • Connie traveled with Brand for her audition on “The Voice” and can be seen backstage with Carson Daly.

  • She and her mother own Brand New You, a clothing boutique in Meridian. They opened in 2018.

  • Brand acknowledged her West Lauderdale Elementary School fifth-grade teacher during her Miss America competition interviews.

  • An 11-year-old Brand once performed at John A’s in Nashville. The following year, she sang the Patsy Cline classic “Crazy” at Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge and “Your Cheatin’ Heart” at Nashville Palace.

  • She attended Meridian Community College from 2016 to 2018 as a dual enrollment student. Brand’s mother was a member of the college’s faculty for years.

  • Brand is a University of Alabama alumnae.

  • She plays the piano. At 12, she could play and sing Adele’s “Someone Like You.”

  • Brand was awarded a $10,000 scholarship from Ameristar Casino & Hotel competing for Miss Mississippi.

  • At 12 years old, Brand sang “Over the Rainbow” at the Mississippi State Fair.

  • At 13 years old, Brand won a pass to audition for The X Factor in New Orleans. She sang “Hallelujah.”

  • As Miss Mississippi, Brand said she was given a new car to use for speaking engagements after every 5,000 miles of driving. By the end of her tenure, she’d used seven new cars.

  • Brand has one brother, Hunter; he served in the Marine Corps., was recently married, has a daughter and plays guitar.

  • At the University of Alabama, Brand wrote her senior thesis on sexual assault on college campuses.

  • According to a 2021 interview, one of Brand’s favorite quotes is, “When you see a need, take the lead.”

  • She started volunteering when she was 7 years old.

  • As a teen, she volunteered doing teddy bear drives for Teddy Bears for Troopers, which collects stuffed animals for state troopers to give to children involved in wrecks.
