From pared-back make-up looks by day on This Morning to full-on glam on Sunday nights for Dancing On Ice, we’ve become somewhat reliant on Holly Willoughby’s endless servings of beauty escapism.

Here, the presenter and Garnier ambassador, who's just turned 40, reveals her favourite beauty buys and tips to live by...

  1. Firming Cashmere Cream, £42, Caudalie: I love this moisturiser because it's really rich and lush, and it disappears into my skin without being greasy and it smells gorgeous. When applying cream I always think: wake up, wash your face, put your moisturiser on and then clean your teeth, so it gives your moisturiser time to really bed with your skin.

  2. Micellar Reusable Eco Pads, £8.99, Garnier: These act like a cotton wool pad would, so you put your micellar water on it and use it to wipe your make-up off. Use it exactly as you would cotton wool, but instead of chucking everything away rewash and reuse. They have been game-changing.

  3. Squalane + Rose Vegan Lip Balm, £14, Biossance: I’ve just discovered this, it's essential at the moment because of the weather and constantly having make-up and lipstick on. It's almost like a mask over my lips which I love.

  4. Sun Drops SPF50, £110, Doctor Babara Sturm: As I'm getting older, looking after my skin is really important and suncare is a massive part of that. You can use these on their own or drop them into your moisturiser so it turns your cream into a SPF, which really helps when you’re trying to save time. It just sinks into your skin and doesn't leave behind that zincy layer, which sometimes makes you look a bit ghosty-grey.

  5. Renaissance Mask, £64, Oskia London: Loving your skin and giving it time to recuperate is important especially during this time of year with the weather, central heating and wearing masks. So I like to get in the bath and put a nice mask on - this mask is a little bit of love for your skin, you put it on and it just sinks in. I feel like my face has just drunk the whole thing so that's a goody.

  6. Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Nude Bronze Light, £49, Hourglass: Obviously none of us are going anywhere to get some sunshine soon, so this is as close to my natural skin colour I've ever been. A tiny bit of bronzer is helpful. This bronzer just gives me that instant glow and warmth, and you actually can't go heavy on it because it's so fine, just grab yourself a big bronzer brush and away you go.

Holly's best beauty tip

My beauty tips are pretty basic, but I think I expect a lot from the products I use. I want minimal products on my bathroom side with maximum effect, so I make sure they work hard for me and I think that when it comes to beauty obviously, the best thing you can do for yourself is get a good night sleep and drink a ton of water.

And we love...
