Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Friday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Monday.

Hollyoaks has aired a final exit for Sam Chen-Williams following his previous departure from the village earlier this month.

Sam had recently left the village after being set up to look like he was sending threatening messages to his ex-girlfriend Zoe Anderson. While viewers were aware that Rayne Royce and Hunter McQueen were separately behind the messages and photo book, Sam was unable to convince his friends and family otherwise.

However, Lizzie later discovered the truth after Rayne's death and, heartbroken, has since been looking to make up with her brother, unaware that he's been in contact with their father Dave.

In tonight's (September 28) first-look episode, Sam reunited with his family for one last time before heading off to start a personal trainer job in LA.

Determined to make things right with her brother, Lizzie urged Hunter to come clean before heading out to find Sam. However, her search didn't take long as he returned to the village alongside Dave.

But Sam's return brought more upheaval for the Chen-Williams family, as Dave was forced to admit that the family were being evicted.

He also revealed that he too would be leaving the village permanently and moving to America.

Lizzie was desperate to make sure Sam didn't leave on bad terms. "I am so truly sorry for everything," she said, adding: "I just need you to know how much I love you."

"I forgive you," Sam replied as the family embraced one last time. "But I have to do this for me... I love you guys."

Later on, in a post-credit scene, a smiling Zoe could be seen sending Sam a text revealing that she'd been told it was Rayne behind the scrapbook and wishing him all the best for the future.

"I just want things to be open and honest," she told Hunter, who nervously agreed with her.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
