Hollyoaks' Breda gives Sylver an ultimatum over Grace
Hollyoaks killer Breda McQueen will get tough with her son Sylver next week as the Mercedes mystery continues.
The Channel 4 soap has launched an exciting whodunnit storyline after Mercedes was gunned down at The Loft by one of her many enemies on the day of Harry Thompson's funeral.
With Mercedes now fighting for her life in hospital, her husband Sylver has been given carte blanche to pursue his affair with Grace Black in secret.
When Goldie asks Sylver to sit with Mercedes at the hospital for the day, he declines – opting to spend time with Grace instead.
However, after Sylver and Grace enjoy their first full night together, tragedy strikes at the hospital when Mercedes has a seizure.
As Goldie frantically tries to get hold of Sylver, Grace rejects the call on his phone and continues to do so afterwards.
Grace is hoping her devious actions will be enough to keep Sylver from rushing to Mercedes' bedside, but her plans are scuppered when he catches her deleting a voicemail from Goldie and confronts her.
Although Sylver tries to reassure Grace that he doesn't have feelings for Mercedes anymore, he faces another big obstacle when his mum Breda realises what's going on.
Breda is disgusted when Grace bursts into The Dog's living room wearing just her dressing gown and Sylver's tool belt – and quickly takes action.
Worried that Sylver's making himself look guilty by pursuing his fling, Breda insists that he choose between the McQueens and Grace. What will Sylver decide?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
