Hollyoaks' Darren Osborne continues to struggle with his depression

Hollyoaks has revealed that Darren Osborne's depression will get worse in heartbreaking scenes.
Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) has been struggling in silence for several months now, with only his friend Kyle Kelly aware of what's going on.
In tonight's E4 first look episode (April 7), Darren becomes overwhelmed when he starts a spring clean around the flat, wanting to make himself useful.
When his partner Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) goes out to a play group with baby DJ, Darren slumps down onto the floor in exhaustion, unable to complete the chores.

Later on, a struggling Darren still hasn't moved from his spot on the floor. When Mandy finally gets home with DJ and the little one takes his first steps, even this isn't enough to stir up any enthusiasm or emotion from Darren.
Next week, in Hollyoaks' special hour-long episode, Darren remains in a dark mood as he lies on the couch with the lights off.
Darren eventually leaves the flat and viewers soon see him walking down an unknown street with a bag on his back, clearly in a bad place.
Kyle (Adam Rickitt) later realises that he has missed seven calls from Darren, so panics and races off to find him. Can he track down Darren?
Hollyoaks airs these scenes tonight (April 7) and on Monday (April 13) at 7pm on E4.
