Hollyoaks has revealed new hope that Tony Hutchinson could finally be freed from Breda McQueen's clutches.
Tony (Nick Pickard) gets a new chance of rescue later this month, when Goldie turns detective to find out what her mum is hiding.
Goldie becomes suspicious over Breda (Moya Brady) when she finds out that her mother has lied about putting the pig farm up for sale.
This lie gets rumbled when Goldie calls the estate agent for an update on the sale, only to hear that the farm isn't even on the market.
When Goldie demands an explanation, Breda insists that the estate agent is lying. Goldie doesn't believe a word of it and starts to question Breda's mental state, booking her an appointment with a psychiatrist.
Breda goes along to the appointment to humour Goldie, but accidentally reveals too much to the psychiatrist before storming out.
With her stress levels rising and her family keeping a close eye on her, Breda is unable to get back to the pig farm to give Tony a fresh supply of food.
Tony's condition deteriorates without any nourishment to keep him going, leaving him fearful that he could be nearing the end.
In the end, Breda seizes her chance to get back to Tony – unaware that Goldie has bought a tracking device to keep tabs on her.
Goldie follows Breda to the pig farm, leaving the serial killer panicked and Tony hopeful that he'll finally be found.
Could his ordeal be nearing an end?
Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Thursday, October 24 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
