Hollyoaks' Jessica Fox supported by co-stars at baby shower

Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox, Bronagh Waugh, Claire Cooper, Tamara Wall and Anna Passey got together for a very special occasion this week.

Currently on maternity leave from her role as Nancy Hayton, Fox invited Instagram followers behind the scenes of her baby shower today (February 24).

Alongside a gallery of pictures, she wrote: "Anyone that knows me, knows I love to throw parties and celebrate other people but when it's turned on me I get anxious and overwhelmed.

"I wasn't very sure about a baby shower and knowing this @bronaghwaugh gave me the perfect afternoon. Small, intimate, the friends I cherish and a truck load of cake.

"Bronagh went above and beyond – everyone should have a Bro in their lives if they are lucky enough to find one."

Waugh, who portrayed Cheryl Brady on the soap before racking up credits in Supernatural, Unforgotten and Ridley, celebrated the festivities on her own social channel.

"What a gorgeous afternoon celebrating my BEAUTIFUL best friend @jessicalafox with our lovely friends," she captioned the same set of photos.

"Jess is one of the most special people in my life & to see her embrace & embark on this magical journey of Motherhood is an honour.

"You're going to be ACE at this Mum lark!"

Meanwhile, Wall, who plays Grace Black, found time to post about the baby shower as well.

"What an absolutely perfect afternoon tea for an absolutely perfect mum to be!" she gushed on Instagram.

"Couldn't be more excited to be mad Aunty Tamla!! Nearly time …."

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
