Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has welcomed a child with her husband Nicholas Willes.

The Nancy Osborne actress shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers today (March 14), posting a sweet snap of her baby boy. She also published a post-birth picture of herself with the baby and one of Willes carrying their son in a carrycot.

"Baby River, you have changed our world forever and we are so grateful we get to love you," Fox wrote in the caption, revealing the name they'd picked for their little boy.

The post was flooded with comments from Fox's fans and soap co-stars.

Fox has previously opened up about her first two pregnancies, which tragically resulted in miscarriages.

Last October, the soap star announced being pregnant with baby River, sharing her ordeal in a lengthy notes app message posted on Instagram.

"Nick and I lost two babies in 2021. Both losses were at the end of the first trimester and completely heartbreaking," she shared, explaining Nancy's onscreen pregnancy coincided with her previous real-life pregnancy and it was "horrific".

Fox added that she struggled with her mental health following her miscarriages and credited the NHS, meditation and some time off for helping her through that tough time.
