Hollyoaks teen Romeo Quinn hides away from his father James Nightingale later this month after a violent incident.

Romeo (Owen Warner) bears the brunt of James's grief over the death of Harry Thompson in upcoming episodes, which threatens to tear apart their father-son relationship for good.

Friday's E4 first look episode (October 4) saw Romeo save James when he stood on the top of the village archway and considered taking his own life.

Although James's loved ones hope he can get his life back on track, he continues to spiral out of control in the aftermath – leading to a shocking moment as he punches Romeo during an argument.

Needing an escape from his out-of-control father, Romeo starts squatting in the Maalik house, while James (Gregory Finnegan) wallows in guilt over what he did.

When Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) finds Romeo hiding out, he explains the situation by revealing that James hit him.

Peri thinks that Romeo should make amends with James before it's too late. However, when she later sees James grabbing Marnie's arm in another angry moment, she tells him that she understands why Romeo is in hiding.

Marnie (Lysette Anthony) is shocked to hear that James hit Romeo, but she also hopes that the teen will give his father another chance and pays him a visit to play peacemaker.

Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) is closely involved in the tensions too, as she's furious with James for hitting her brother. Giving James some home truths, Juliet reminds him how he pushed away Harry too.

Marnie arrives home just in time to see James turning on Juliet, so she finally loses patience with her son and tells him to leave.

Kicked out of his own flat, James stays the night at the Osborne house thanks to Kyle Kelly (Adam Rickitt) taking pity on him. Kyle urges James not to give up on his family, but will he take the advice?

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Tuesday, October 15, Wednesday, October 16, Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
