Hollyoaks stabbing hinted at in flash-forward episode
Hollyoaks has hinted at a shock stabbing in the show's festive flash-forward episode.
Show bosses have made plans for a special hour-long New Year episode, giving viewers a sneak peek at dramatic events to come 12 months in the future.
The Channel 4 soap has decided to explore the topical issue of "County Lines" drug dealing, exploring how it affects the village's younger characters and the local community as a whole.
"County Lines" refers to gangs from big cities, who target young people and vulnerable adults to sell their drugs in smaller towns around the country.
New spoilers for the episode have now revealed that a stabbing will take place at the end of 2020, rocking the village to the core.
A flash-forward to New Year's Eve 2020 will see police banging on the Osborne’s front door. As Charlie’s game controller sits on the stairs, Nancy can be seen shouting up to him, asking what he’s done.
In present day, newcomer Sid can be seen meeting his criminal cousin Jordan for drugs, only to be spotted by Ollie and Imran. When Luke arrives and convinces Sid to give up the drugs and make the next year a positive one, the teenager explains that he likes to play the guitar.
However, a flash-forward to the following year sees Leela, dressed as if she’s been to a wedding, looking at the floor of The Dog carpark – where a guitar has been violently smashed to pieces.
Meanwhile, New Year's Even 2019 will see Peri, Tom, Romeo and Yazz celebrate at the Lomaxes, before heading to a club.
As Tom arrives at The Hutch to celebrate his birthday, he cuts the cake with a distinctive knife, which a year into the future is being put in an evidence bag. What has happened? And who has been stabbed?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
