Former Hollyoaks star Callum Kerr has announced that he's going to be a father.

Taking to Instagram today (July 4), Kerr shared a series of pictures cradling his partner Lauren Stacy's bump, as well as a video of an ultrasound.

"Ever since I can remember, I've always wanted to be a dad," Kerr wrote in the caption of the post.

"I can’t wait to welcome this little one into the world with my love, my angel, my partner in crime @laurenstacy7."

This news comes eight months after Kerr's split from fianceé Olivia Anderson.

The post received lots of congratulatory messages from fans as well as co-stars. Adam Woodward, who played Brody Hudson on Hollyoaks, wrote: "No way!! Congrats bro."

Kerr played PC George Kiss in Hollyoaks between 2020 and 2021 before his character was murdered. Due to George's abusive behaviour, there were numerous suspects, but it was later revealed that Sally St Claire had been the one to end his life.

After leaving Hollyoaks, Kerr became a regular on the Nashville country music scene and released his first single, titled 'Tequila Therapy', in March.

He also performed on the soundtrack of the hit show Monarch, in which he starred as Wade Stellings alongside Susan Sarandon, Anna Friel and Beth Ditto.

Speaking about his projects after Hollyoaks, Kerr previously teased to Digital Spy that music was just as important to him as acting.

"I'm going to continue to act. I've always done music as well, so I'll continue acting, doing music and trying to stay creative," he said.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
