Hollyoaks star Imran Adams says they "spoke about" Cleo potentially coming back with Mitchell's baby

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks' Mitchell Deveraux is happily engaged to Scott Drinkwell at the moment, but before that he was in a relationship with Cleo McQueen.

Obviously in soapland, happy couples being happy together is never quite as fun as to watch, so why not put those couples under stress by bringing the exes back into the pictures? Even better when one of those exes turns up out the blue with a baby in tow!

Well, that's something Mitchell actor Imran Adams would love to happen for his character, especially since Cleo actress Nadine Mulkerrin is a new mother herself (Cleo departed the soap for Nadine's maternity leave).

"We actually spoke about the possibility of a storyline involving Cleo coming back with Mitchell's baby before Nadine had Reggie — that would certainly be great TV!" he told Inside Soap. "Can you imagine? More drama!"

He also spoke about Scott and Mitchell's wedding. Imran said that he imagines the pair would be very split over how they would like things to be — Scott would want "camp and colourful" while Mitchell would like "classy, simple, traditional and laid back" — and he thinks it would end up being a "compromise" between the two.

"It's a case of two different worlds colliding," he said.

Imran previously defended Mitchell proposing after such a short time, previously telling DigitalSpy: "Mitchell realises that he loves Scott unconditionally at any stage, even when Scott is upset or angry with him. You'll see that he proposes in the best 'Mitchell' way.

"It's so innocent and beautiful and I'm so happy the audience are able to see that from LGBTQ+ culture. I think time doesn't really matter when it's matters of the heart. Because Mitchell and Scott have been through so much in a short space of time, Mitchell is mature enough to know that they love each other more each day so it'd be stupid to wait.

"They're madly in love with each other and they have to take that risk."

Hollyoaks airs on Channel 4, with first look episodes and Hollyoaks Favourites on E4.
