Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has shared an adorable new photo of her baby son, River.

The actress, who plays Nancy Osborne on the Channel 4 soap, gave birth to River last month with husband Nicholas Willes.

Jessica posted a set of photos on Instagram of baby River earlier today (April 3), showing the actress as she cradled her son: "Every time I look at River I realise he will never be this new again," she wrote in the caption.

"Thank you @hannahainsworth_photographyuk for capturing all his newness so beautifully – we will treasure all the tiny details forever," she added.

The post was met with joy from stars of the soap, with Liberty Savage actress Jessamy Stoddart commenting: "Just so so so beautiful xxx." Lucy-Jo Hudson, who plays Donna-Marie Quinn on the soap, also sent her best wishes, writing: "Wow ❤️ what beautiful pics xxx."

The soap’s official media account also congratulated Jessica, commenting: "Our hearts… 😭❤️😭❤️ Absolutely beautiful!"

Jessica is currently taking a temporary break from Hollyoaks, with Nancy being briefly written out. The character has travelled to Detroit in order to gain information on potentially life-saving treatment for baby Morgan, who is suffering with circulation problems.

Elsewhere on the soap, James Nightingale has been left to reckon with the consequences of working with criminal Eric Foster, with the latter seeking the help of the lawyer in order to reduce his sentence.

Angus Castle-Doughty recently spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about the storyline, revealing that his character would back James into a corner.

"[It’s] a moral quandary for James. Not only is he helping a man who's caused so much hurt to his community, but there's a legal aspect as well," he said. "Eric is going to manipulate James… that puts James firmly into the palms of Eric's hands."

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
