Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has opened up about her life as a single mum to her son, whom she shares from a previous relationship with ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.

The Sinead O'Connor and Celebrity Big Brother star – who welcomed Caben-Ali to the world in 2017 – revealed that while there are some tough times, it’s “worth every second”.

Speaking to her Instagram followers in a voluntary Q&A session, one fan asked whether she finds being a single mum hard, to which she replied: “Yes of course it’s hard sometimes, but worth every second.

“You just get on with it. It’s only been me and him from the beginning so we know no different, we have the most amazing bond because of it.”

She went on to tell her fans that life is “really really good” at the moment for her, having split from ex-partner Owen Warner in September after nine months together.

Although it was previously reported that the actor – who plays Romeo Quinn on the Channel 4 soap – had moved out of her home and blocked her on Instagram, a representative told Digital Spy that this was “not true”.

Stephanie had previously opened up about how good of a stepdad Owen had been, writing on Instagram back in June on behalf of Caben-Ali: "Thank you Owen for being the most amazing daddy, for loving me unconditionally, for being my best bud & for all the fun we have together and all you do for me.

"My mummy once wished for me to have the most amazing daddy who would love me and care for me, and now I have one, the best one in the whole world. I'm so lucky to have you and everything you do for me ! Love Caben. Ps, mummy is the happiest mummy in the world."

Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing at 7pm on E4.
