MILLERSBURG - The Holmes County District Public Library has many planned activities for ]July, according to a news release from the library.

The Summer Reading Program continues through July 30. There is still time to join the Summer Reading Program and earn prizes for reading. There are programs for children, teens and adults.

July Take & Make for Teens at the Central Library or the East Branch. Kits will include all supplies needed to craft a Seashell Tealight Candle.

Storytime at the Central Library – Fridays at 10:30 a.m. July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Ages 2-5 with an adult are invited for stories, songs and more.

Storytime! at the East Branch – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. July 6, 13, 20 and 27. Bring your family for these “all ages” storytimes with an ocean theme!

Under the Sea at the Central Library – Wednesday, July 6 at 11 a.m. Ages 4 and older will create a jar aquarium, and a shell creature while watching a live ocean cam on the library's big screen.

Paws to Read – Saturday, July 9, between 11 a.m. and noon at the Central Library. Kids are invited to read to a licensed therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.

Ocean Model Resin Craft for Teens, Tuesday, July 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the East Branch. Ages 12-18 will create an ocean floor model, using themed materials provided – or bring your own! Registration is required.

Oceans of Fun! – Wednesday, July 13 at 11 a.m. – Central Library. Families are invited to the library’s backyard for outdoor water activities, bubbles, games and snacks! Come prepared to get wet! Activities are intended for ages 12 and under.

Sea Planter Air Fern Craft for Adults, Thursday, July 14 at 6 p.m. – Central Library.

Create your own beach-themed planter with a live air fern! Registration is required.

Family Movie, Saturday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at the Central Library. Showing on the big screen, this movie is about a 13-year old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant rad panda when she gets too excited. Children must be with an adult. Call the library for the movie title, rated PG.

Preserve it Part 2! by Kate – for Adults, Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at the Central Library. In the second class of a three-part series, Kate Shumaker – OSU Extension Services educator, will share ways to preserve fresh vegetables. Registration is required.

Teen Movie Night & Drawing Practice, Monday, July 25 at 5-6:30 p.m. at the Central Library. While a movie about a mermaid princess is showing on the big screen, attendees will practice drawing the characters. Snacks and drinks will be provided. For ages 12 to 18. Call the library for the movie title, rated G.

Book Discussion for Adults Tuesday, July 26 at 1 p.m. at the Central Library – discussing “The Book of Lost Friends” by Lisa Wingate and at 6 p.m. at Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Secrets We Kept” by Lara Prescott. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.

Lego Building Challenge, Thursday, July 28 at 5:30-6:45 p.m. – Central Library. Ages 6-12 can join us for some Lego building fun! LEGOS and ideas are provided.
